Gerald joined PTC in 2001 as a Recruiter and brings over 10 years of experience to the table in the recruitment and placement of accounting and finance professionals; he also has a strong background himself in accounting & finance, which enables him to quickly assimilate clients’ technical requirements as well as accurately assess candidates’ skillsets.

 Gerald truly enjoys the fast pace that is contract placement and is in his element at PTC when having to multi-task and juggle ever-changing priorities.

Gerald gains a great deal of personal satisfaction from helping people - working with candidates to help them find roles that are interesting and challenging and that are well suited to their skills and abilities.

Gerald truly enjoys acting as a consultant to candidates and clients and building all-important relationships, asking appropriate questions to understand their needs in order to uncover the key elements that will ensure a successful match between client and candidate every time.

Paul Orzech joined the PTC team in June 2004 as a recruiter and has brought his experience and Financial/Accounting background to this important role.

Prior to joining PTC, Paul earned a BA in Commerce and Economics from The University of Toronto. With 18 years of experience in various Finance and Accounting roles for a major life insurance company, Paul gained invaluable experience managing and developing staff, which he currently applies to his work at PTC.

As a recruiter at PTC, Paul is able to source candidates for a variety of positions using his strong networking and communication talents. He is able to recall pertinent details about the candidates he meets with, which makes it easier for him to recommend the right candidates for the right assignments. His strong background in accounting and finance helps him understand the needs of both the clients and the candidates, and enables him to translate them into results.

Outside of PTC, Paul describes himself as an environmental advocate, and likes to help out in the community with his many charitable endeavors. He also likes spending time with his family when he’s not hard at work.

As a science major at York University, John brings a unique and highly analytical approach to recruiting.  When coupled with 16 years of working experience in accounting & finance, John is able to match the right candidate to the right opportunity.  Since joining PTC in 2005, John has consistently been rated amongst the highest in terms of both candidate rating and client satisfaction.

Genine attended University of Guelph where she received her Bachelor of Commerce Degree, specializing in Hotel and Foodservice Management. She also has her MBA (Finance, Strategy, and International Business) which she achieved at the Schulich School of Business. She joined PTC in 2006 as a Recruiter after being a Controller in the hospitality industry.

Juan has been a recruiter at PTC since 2008. As a CPA, Juan can communicate effectively with accountants at all levels. Prior to joining PTC, Juan was a Financial Analyst at a major financial institution in Toronto.

Juan takes great pride in his ability to consistently find candidates to meet the needs of any client. He works tirelessly to ensure that the relationship he develops with candidates are strong and long lasting. Juan sees the value in meeting candidates face to face and creating a strong connection with candidates.

Juan thrives in the fast pace that contract recruiting provides. The challenge of finding the ‘right’ candidate for our client in the shortest time possible is one that Juan embraces on a daily basis.

After attending McMaster University, Navi began his career in the Health & Fitness industry.  As a personal trainer, Navi developed a reputation for building relationships with his clients and meeting client needs.  After a few years in this field he was approached by a multi-billion dollar I.T. recruitment firm to join their organization – since then, he has not looked back.

Navi joined PTC in early 2009 with over 7 years of recruiting business experience. The last 5 plus years his work has centered on successfully placing mid to senior level accounting/finance professionals (including SOX, IFRS specialists) with small, midsize and multi-national organizations.

What’s made Navi successful in the recruiting business is his ability to build a genuine relationship with both candidates/clients, he has a reputation for truly understanding the needs of both sides of the business for a successful placement.  Navi is known for his knack of being able to recall candidate names and resumes from the top of his head which serves him well in the fast paced world of contract placement.

Karen is an enthusiastic Recruiter who enjoys making ideal matches between client needs and candidate skills. Karen’s reputation and expertise in qualifying and coaching candidates, has resulted in the successful placement of mid to senior level finance professionals.
